How we deliver high quality support
Platform Up works to the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023. Our practice is shaped by the Support Standard, Protection Standard, and Accommodation and Quality Standards. These guide how we keep young people safe, supported, and moving forward.
Everything we do is built around clear routines, consistent relationships, and practical support that makes sense in real life. Young people should feel safe, listened to, and able to grow. Our standards help us make that happen every day.
Support Standard
Building consistent relationships
Young people are supported by staff who show up, follow through, and build trust. We focus on clear communication, predictable routines, and support that feels steady and reliable.
Listening and responding
We take time to understand what young people are saying in their words, behaviour, and actions. Support plans reflect their views, goals, and what matters to them day to day.
Practical support that works
Support is hands on and realistic. We help with routines, appointments, education, health, and building the skills needed for independence.
Growing skills and confidence
We help young people build confidence through small steps, positive experiences, and opportunities to learn. Progress is recognised and setbacks are supported without judgement.
Protection Standard
Clear safeguarding practice
Staff know how to spot concerns early and act quickly. We follow clear safeguarding procedures and work closely with social workers and other professionals.
Understanding risks
Risk assessments are live documents. We update them as situations change and help young people understand how to stay safe in their daily lives.
Working together
Safety is a shared effort. We communicate openly with partners, families where appropriate, and agencies to make sure everyone has the right information.
Safe environments and online safety
Our homes are calm, respectful spaces with clear boundaries. Staff support young people to stay safe online, understand digital risks, and use technology responsibly.
Accommodation and Quality Standard
Clean, safe and welcoming homes
Young people live in spaces that are clean, safe, and well maintained. We take pride in our homes and make sure they feel comfortable and respectful.
Daily living support
Staff help with cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and building routines that support independence. Young people take part at a pace that works for them.
Quality you can see
We monitor our practice, gather feedback, and make improvements quickly. Young people help shape how the home runs and what good looks like.
Clear expectations
Everyone understands the standards we work to. Staff know what good practice looks like and young people know what they can expect from us every day.
How we check our quality
Regular reviews
We review support plans, risk assessments, and daily records to ensure practice stays consistent and up to date. These checks help us spot gaps early and make improvements before issues grow.
Feedback from young people
Young people tell us what is working and what needs to change. Their feedback shapes how we run our homes, how we communicate, and how we adapt our support to meet real needs.
External oversight
We work with local authorities, Ofsted, and partners who check our practice and hold us to account. Their oversight helps us stay aligned with national standards and good practice.
Continuous improvement
We learn from incidents, audits, and reflective discussions. Improvements are made quickly and shared across the team so young people feel the benefit in their day to day support.
