Decisions about support and access to services are based on need, not background or status. We follow clear Equal Opportunities principles in recruitment, training and daily practice.
We handle personal information lawfully and transparently. Young people are informed about how their information is used, stored and shared, and records are kept securely at all times.
Platform Up began in 2017 when our founder, Charles Vig, was working as a foster carer and saw how many young people were moving between placements, temporary beds and unsafe situations without a clear plan for independence.
He saw young people with potential, but without the stability or guidance they needed to move forward. This inspired the creation of a service built on safety, consistency and a clear pathway toward independence.
Today, Platform Up operates two supported living homes and is expanding, with new homes currently being developed to meet growing need. Our work is shaped by trauma aware practice, strong partnership working and a commitment to giving young people a safe place to rebuild.
We offer a structured pathway from 24 hour supported living through to independent living. Young people step down safely as their skills grow, with support that matches their needs.
Our practice is trauma aware and safeguarding led with strong risk management, safer recruitment, regular training and clear reporting pathways that keep young people safe.
